Okay, before you laugh — I swear this really happened.
Well, maybe it didn’t happen in the normal world…
But in my world? It was the best lunchtime surprise ever.
🥪 The Not-So-Ordinary Lunch
It all started on a regular Tuesday.
Mom packed me my usual lunch:
- One peanut butter & jelly sandwich
- A juice box
- Baby carrots (meh)
- And a sticky note that said: “You’re awesome!”
I sat at the cafeteria table, about to take a bite of my sandwich, when it wiggled.
Yes. Wiggled.
I blinked.
The sandwich blinked back.
😱 The Sandwich Speaks!
I dropped it on my tray.
It landed jelly-side up and whispered, “Finally! I can breathe!”
I looked around.
Nobody else noticed. Liam was trading crackers, and Mia was building a carrot tower.
Then the sandwich stood up — yep, on its crust — and introduced itself.
“Name’s Sandwich. I’m here on official Snack Business.”
I gasped. “You talk?!”
He nodded. “And I need your help. The Lunchroom is in danger.”
🧃 Operation: Save the Snacks
According to Sandwich, the Lunchroom was secretly ruled by the Evil Broccoli King, who wanted to turn every lunch item into bland green mush.
“Even pizza,” Sandwich said dramatically. “Even. Pizza.”
We formed a plan:
- Distract the Broccoli Guards with a dancing juice box
- Sneak past the Milk Carton Moat
- Deliver the Golden Crouton to the Salad Bar Shrine to reverse the spell
It was wild. It was messy. I might’ve slipped on a tater tot.
But we did it.
🏆 Victory and Extra Pudding
The Broccoli King melted (in a healthy way).
The snacks rejoiced.
The pudding cups sang songs of freedom.
Stanwich gave me a high-five with his crust and said,
“You’re a Lunchroom Legend now.”
Then I blinked… and everything was back to normal.
Except… My sandwich had a bite mark in it, but I didn’t take a bite.
